There's a book
called Only The Paranoid Survive in which the author , Groove, discusses
the dilemma and problem of gigantic organizations for example
Electronics Arts. The Need For Speed was the first ever game to
revolutionize racing games on a next level. But I think EA suffered from
The Valley of Death after Need For Speed Underground 2 period until the
Need For Speed Undercover. I've played all of them and nearly all of
them are identical. The only one that stood out to me was Underground 2.
This is exactly what happens when the hype is over. What next? What
are we going to work on? I think EA was smart enough to create its
online program and release it on PS4, Xbox One, Scorpio as these
consoles hit the market. Once these video games hit their inflection
point, it's all over and they have to start again. The same old titles.
And That Need For Speed The Run no freeroam bullshit was the biggest
mistake EA made.
Good for Rockstar Games, their Online program was a success.
These guys after creating and releasing GTA IV(which had an online
gameplay) had wholly revolutionized the Genre after releasing GTA V. GTA
V has a very well-known Online network, "GTA Online". Rockstar North
was able to collect feedback and do rapid iteration of its video game
Grand Theft Auto V as millions of its fans recorded clips, uploaded them
to Rockstar's website and their YouTube channels. Rockstar North
created an overwhelming feedback loop for itself. Once Rockstar North
was in the black, it saw where the market was heading towards:
First-Person Shooter games. This is when the impossible happened as
Rockstar stepped down to create a new category:The Grand Theft Auto
Online with both 3rd person and 1st Person Shooter Gameplay! To this
day, GTA V still continues to top off all the charts, still selling like
crazy. A Genre-defining video game, what a beautiful move from
Rockstar!

The real change, the reforms shouldn't have to be fixed to the
Governmental and federal reforms. To cut costs and to boost
profitability, we don't have to wait for Tax Reforms. Instead, The real
reform starts with the companies on an individual level. This is why
founders like Elon Musk are so successful. Their organizations are
aligned with their mission and vision. They brought the Tesla to the
market at a surprisingly fast rate! Replacing CEO's of the company is
just the half win for a company. To ensure complete success of an
organization, each and every role must be defined, updated and should be
accountable to its seniors. The change needs to be on a top-down level.
GE created FastWorks to provide ongoing training, change the culture of
GE and to promote startup-like innovation in a corporation.
Corporations need to formalize the new ways of working. But before doing
that, they have to have accountability, hence a "useful" board. This
way company can exactly pin point what's working and what's not. So the
whole company, from board to engineering to salespeople, all of them
need to be aligned on a common goal and vision. Alas, it may require
small cross-functional teams.
Guys Please I have a small ask. If you find any grammatical
mistakes, sentences not making sense, that is my fault. Please comment
and correct any mistakes. Moreover Please link any helpful resource,
video(like a Real Steel Trailer etc.) in comments. I can edit the
article and link further resources. But I won't. Just to keep things
interesting.
