Have you
watched the movies or ever played chess, you have to get rid of your
most “loyal” pawns first. When you’re dependent on less number of
people, you should be skeptical of the most loyal person. Why? Because
sometimes you have to get rid of your darlings in order to pursue what’s
important.
Let’s define fear for a second, for instance…
Defining Fear
Fear
is, in my personal opinion, your personal compass; Taking a 30,000 feet
view over life and using the “pain” to clarify things.
Let
me give you an example; if you think you’re the most important person
in the room then listen up, 90% of people will ridicule you that’s 100%
certain. Not because you’re in fault. Because naturally humans try to
impose their laziness on someone they feel could be a good scapegoat
combined with a quite a bit of envy and jealousy. If you’re an A-Player
and just define your goals then 90% of forces will come and try to
shatter them.
Instead, you can ask the question, “What 20% of people/activities result in 80% of your negative emotions?”
Why
ask this question first? Because three things are certain, when you’re
starting out you’re not as important as you think Secondly, you only
have to find a narrow group of people that will give you milk for a long
time to come and switch off all the temporaries.
So the next question to ask is, “What 20% of people/activities result in 80% of your outputs?”
Two
things, first defining nightmares will allow you to observe and
eliminate black swans. Secondly You should know the real deals who
really bring value to the table.
If
you just follow this formula, you can filter 90% of negativity and root
out all potential downsides, making you capitalize on your strengths
rather than trying to improve your weaknesses all the time as your
default “one-size-fits-all” strategy.
Find what others cannot see or are blocked from seeing. Help the people that matter meanwhile let them help you.
That’s it for today. I write daily. Now a habit of mine.
