Breathing
is a very important blessing. Now this sounds obvious but I know persons
who died due to carelessness that impacted their breathing. Lungs play
an essential role in your survival. Having fat means you’re organs are
accumulating too much space. Naturally all organs have some fat around
them for protection but too much of fat is deadly. Allow me to share a
real world example. I once had an aunt(now she’s dead RIP) who had a lot
of family problems. She along with her family were distressed and some
of the most unhealthy people I saw in my life in fact her child was born
with Congenital Brain Defects.
She was immune to fats, carbohydrates and way too much protein(like
meat balls). She had elevated Blood Pressure levels above normal
thresholds for years. Problems started to surface: her lungs stopped
functioning and she started accumulating fat around her heart so much
that doctors warned her that her heart size is increasing with some kind
of fluid and it will soon touch her rib cage. Her life was narrow. She
married a guy who had a few partnerships and a bungalow(hint: this guy
was almost Middle Class as described by Robert Kiyosaki in Rich Dad Poor Dad).
Almost the family was satisfied for decisions concerned with her
personal life. I don’t want to talk about that stuff here neither is she
present here and neither of her wonderful life is my concern. She died
of stroke while nobody was present in sleep. Prior to this, certainly overdosed on
foods composed of proteins and carbohydrates despite Doctor’s warnings
just to cope with her stressful life, for all this was no different than
her social circle.
In
conclusion I’ve seen people who, interestingly, are vulnerable to
dangers all around. You may think I am no less than a pessimist. I am
just defining what I saw and witnessed from my eyes through all these
years. One might argue I’m going against people. Think about it. Does
having bigger house and beautiful cars actually benefit
people or it is about having more financial freedom in respect to
having more time for your health, happiness and love. One shall think
about following quote when thinking about Wealth itself:
The beauty of life is in elimination of non-essentials
Tony
Robbins was right, “When you think you’re 50/50[in terms of risk and
rewards] you’re really 90/10. Secondly you don’t need risk to make big,
winning bets in life.” He calls it asymmetrical risks and rewards.
Don’t be naive enough as to not understand where the well is full and
where is it dry. Joseph was playing the long game. When he was in jail,
he knew he would win. He eliminated what was generating great amount of
stress in his life: women. 8 Years in prison conditioned him as a strong
person and this elimination resulted in a big win. Sometimes you have
to ask, “Is this what I believe, really my belief or taken/inherited
from other people?”. Define and then act. And you don’t have to risk
your life/career for menial things that don’t matter. Learn where to
subtract and where to multiply.
And
please remember above is the cautionary tale I still use to warn myself
when I’m late at night studying for my exam. Nothing is too important
to override my basic survival needs. If I fail in exam, it shouldn’t
concern my body. Besides a good health is a foundation for all other the
wealth including love and happiness.
